Commission of Genaral Economic Issues is directed to prepare proposals and grounded materials on various sectors of the economy as well as defining priority directions of state policy. The commission addresses the issues such as:

-   Provide effective activities on macroeconomic analysis, tax matters, trade policy, WTO membership, matters of investment and economic legislation;
-   Research the macroeconomic situation in the country, region and the global market;
-   Define administrative obstacles preventing business development on tax matters, trade policy and the investment environment, and prepare revised proposals of policy consideration, as well as form a single position on these issues in business community;
-   Support ATIB members on matters connected with foreign economic activity;
-   Form a single position of business community on matter of WTO membership of our country;
-   Support the dynamics in the development of sectors within the Azerbaijan economy through attracting investments;
-   Development of investment environment in the country;
-   Develop organizational, technical and informational opportunities of investment in the Azerbaijani economy;
-   Assist in strengthening the image of the country to attract capital investment;
-   Activate and stimulate the participation of the business community in economic legislation activity.
